Over-all I love this thing. The pictures on the screen are great. The screen even changes color during diffent times of the day. The background is white during the day and black at night. This saves your eyes from getting burned out at night. It is easy to set up and I plugged it in and set it up in less then 10 minutes after leaving the store. All US and Canada maps are built in. Including all kinds of waypoints. I live in a small town and im impressed by how many places this thing already knows. It does seem a little off on some destinations by several feet but it always gets me in the right area. I beleive it goes off Postal address zones/areas. It shows my house at the begining of the small street I live on, instead of the end, but yahoo maps does that too. I am also using it in a small town and that might be part of the problem. It uses SD cards for the MP3 player. You can also buy preloaded language and book SD cards for it from Garmin. I havent had to deal with Garmin Support yet, but I did download some desktop software for it. It connects to your computer via a USB port.
Pros: Comes with alot of extra's
Cons: It's a little slow on start up and sometimes is a bit off on locations

I absolutely love my Nuvi, however when I tried to load MP3's into it I could not get them to load. No technical support available. I'm not extremely computer savvy but I think some instruction on it's features would be most helpful. It's manual is very vague. If anybody knows how to do this function I would love to hear from you, as I'm still waiting to hear back from Garmin. The satellite's are excellent, I am no longer geographically challenged. Now I'm not afraid to venture too far from home.
Pros: Everything you want and more
Cons: Some of the features no support given.

I've had this unit for about 3 weeks and it's both a pleasure and a breeze to use. Sometimes it takes a minute to acquire satellite reception, but by the time I get down to the end of my street it is usually up and running. I found the best deal at the time to be through Amazon ($378) total, with no tax and no postage. I've already downloaded several third party "Points of Interest" (POI) files and modified a few. It's a breeze. Naturally, the unit is only as good as the data in it and so far I've only run across to minor discrepancies where the unit directed me around an extra block instead of going the way I knew was shorter. No big deal, because if I had been somewhere unfamiliar, the unit would have gotten me to where I wanted to go and I would have been none the wiser. I LOVE the fact that I can take this GPS out of my car and slip it into my pocket. Too many other "pluses" to mention.
Pros: Compact, Plenty of Accessories, Built in Manual
Cons: Can only program one additional waypoint per trip

I bought a Nuvi 350 three months ago. It has been doing its job well so far.

It certainly has no problem in taking me to where I want. Nuvi provides options for choosing shortest or fastest route. I always select the latter. But there are times when I disagree with its suggested route. I have never really sat down and done the math. But having driven around in my neighbourhood for years, I would like to think I am right. Overall, I give an A- for its directions.

Door-to-door routing is fine if you don't disobey its directions. But once you do not follow its directions, all it does is to ask you to make a U-turn rather than re-calculating the new fastest or shortest route when there clearly is a better route available. I did an experiment once. While I was waiting at a red light, Nuvi prompted me to make a U-turn right there. Instead of following it, I turned it off and re-entered the destination. It calculated a new set of directions!

Another annoyance about Nuvi 350 is its start up time. It takes approximately five mins to acquire signal most of the times. There are times when it becomes ready in just a couple of mins, I have not figured out the pattern yet. Maybe it depends on how long it
Pros: Light in weight, easy to use, a handy travel companion
Cons: Long start up time, does not take intersection as a destination

I bought mine for 440$ with a 3 year warranty from FRYS and it stopped working one day 3 months after purchase - "would not aquire satellites". I took it back to FRYS to get sent in for repair. It has never been dropped, never been exposed to water, never been abused. It has been 2 months now and still hasn't been returned and no loaner was offered. If you need a GPS system for your job - I would recommend you pass this one up as it is just a novelty in my opinion. I spent too much money for the poor service and treatment I have received and feel my money could have been spent better elsewhere. It did work great when it worked though.
Pros: works well when it works
Cons: takes 2 months to get it fixed
