As I was taking the system out the box I wasn't really impressed with the size of the control panel, I think its too big and it looks odd on my computer desk, other than that the rest of the system is amazing in looks and sound quality. I'm a big gamer and I use this speakers to play battlefield 2 and the sound coming from this speakers is amazing and the bass is also quite impressive for a set of computer speakers, the 10" subwoofer comes alive when a bomb goes off during gamplay, the sound is so loud that I found out that my next door neighbor and I have the same musical taste!!!! get this speakers and you won't regret it, I also bought the audigy 2zs sound card and I thnk it helps this speakers really come alive.
Pros: sound clarity
Cons: control panel too big and center channel mounting bracket not strong enough.

I absolutely love these speakers. They're *almost* perfect.

First, the sound is amazing. I upgraded from a Cambridge SoundWorks 4.1 system about 6 years old, and the difference is night and day.

The *only* drawback is the design of the swivel bases on the sattellites -- whoever designed this obviously didn't have to use them. First, the swivel only rotates 180 degrees -- all in the exact same direction: left. What this means is if you want to mount these on walls, well you'll end up being stuck with one at a weirdly canted angle. I ended up mounting them upside down screwed into the ceiling joists and pointed basically in the direction I wanted them.

At first, I thought these may have had some strange way to rotate the base by unscrewing the base, but this was a colossal mistake becaus the base is held on by a nut inside the speaker housing that came off after I unscrewed it -- bad move there. Luckily, the rubber cover holders also serve as hidey-holes for the face mounting screws, and a few minutes later I had my sattellite reassembled and ready for action.

These are some expensive speakers. But once you hear them, you'll understand.
Pros: Awesome, crystal clear, thundering, flawless sound
Cons: Sattellite swivel bases

The detail that I'm getting with these speakers is superb. My home stereo system which cost thousands and which I've always been happy with, doesn't match the sound I'm getting with my E-MU 1820 sound card and these speakers. I really love having my CDs on computer and listening in a more intimate setting. Games and DVDs are great-sounding too. One note: as great as my sound card is at playing stereo, it is not designed for passing through Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS signals which may be available on games or DVDs that you play. Therefore, if your buying a sound card too, (and don't need one designed for music production like the E-MU 1820) you may want to buy one that can play Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS signals so that you can take full advantage of the capabilities of these speakers.

My one gripe with the speakers has to do with the mounting brackets. The first (collosal) mistake I made was to unscrew the bottom screw of one of the satellites to make it easier to wall mount. No where in the literature does it say not to do this. But once you do, you can't screw it back in because the nut is inside the speaker. Logitech would not replace the satellite, but luckily the retailer ZipZoomFly.com did. The other problem with the wall-mounting brackets is that the left front and left rear brackets are identical to the right, which means they swivel outward, not inward. So to get them to swivel inward, I had to mount them upside down.
Pros: My CDs have never sounded this good.
Cons: Wall mounting brackets could use redesign.
